First things first a little bit about myself I am Paula Davies and currently work as a systems developer TCS based in Surrey.

I am very passionate about the web and always trying to improve my skills which in the process of doing got involved in web accessibility. I have been the Technical Lead on web accessibility for about 2 years picking up the reigns after the lead develop left.

Before TCS I worked for Legal & General and was involved in a successful accessibility project which later became a case study for Disability Rights Commission's PAS 78 - Guidelines for the commissioning accessible websites.

Part of the case study was to highlight the benefits that accessibility can have for a website one of which was that after completion the project managed to increase the amount of online application that were being completed and that as a result the project has pritty much paid for itself after a very short period of time.
